Data You Give Us Directly
Search Queries
Names and locations typed into a search box go straight to the outside provider that runs the tool. That company processes the request and supplies the result. A separate record of the entered search terms is not maintained by us.
Messages and Contact Submissions
Email correspondence can be kept for the time needed to reply and preserve the related exchange. It is not shared outside our organization unless the law compels disclosure.
Data We Gather Automatically
Loading a page automatically sends ordinary technical information to the servers, including:
- Timestamps for each page view
- The referring website, when one sent you here
- The pages opened and the time spent on them
- Your device category and operating system
- The browser name and version in use
- The Internet Protocol address assigned to the device
Cookies and Analytics
Small files known as cookies support measurements such as traffic volume, frequently viewed pages, and where a browsing session stops. Analytics companies turn that activity into combined reports. Cookies may be blocked through browser settings, but disabling them can alter the operation of some features.
What We Do With This Data
- Diagnosing and correcting technical problems
- Delivering search requests to the appropriate partner tool
- Selecting advertising that may reflect visitor interests
- Understanding which pages are useful and which need improvement
- Maintaining availability, speed, and reliable operation
No Criminal-Record Data on File
No database of individual criminal records is collected, maintained, or sold here. Content instead identifies official Quay County sources, including the Sheriff's Office, New Mexico Judicial Branch courts, the New Mexico Department of Public Safety repository, and the New Mexico Sex Offender Registry. Visitor data is not turned into a consumer report or outside criminal-record file. This website is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act.
Third-Party Search Partners
Search-box functions are furnished by outside companies. Each provider's privacy policy governs submitted information, including decisions about retention and disclosure. Because that processing is beyond our control, its terms should be read before a search is submitted.
Links to Other Websites
A link may open an outside tool, a legal source, a New Mexico agency, a state court, or a Quay County office. After leaving this website, the destination's own privacy terms control. Those terms should be reviewed before any personal information is supplied.
Advertising providers can also use their own technology to measure activity across different websites and choose ads they consider relevant.
Who Might See Your Data
Personal data is not sold. Limited information may nevertheless be received by:
- Government or law-enforcement authorities when disclosure is compelled by a valid legal order
- Advertising networks that serve ads on these pages
- Search providers that process a visitor's submitted query
- Analytics companies used to measure site traffic and performance
How We Protect Your Data
Collected information is handled with reasonable security safeguards. Internet-based systems still carry risk, and no guarantee can be made that every unauthorized access or breach will be prevented.
Users Under 18
This website is meant for adults. Personal information is not knowingly gathered from a person younger than 18. If such information is identified through a verified report, a request to delete it will be addressed.
Your Data Rights
Depending on the circumstances and a visitor's location, New Mexico consumer law may confer data rights. Relevant law includes the Unfair Practices Act, NMSA 1978 §§57-12-1 through 57-12-26. A request may seek to:
- Correct inaccurate personal information
- Opt out of particular forms of processing
- Receive a copy of personal information held about you
- Have personal data deleted
